With the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching—accompanied by gentle breezes, the glow of the moon, and the heartwarming warmth of shared moments—we are hosting a special "One Person, One Dish" team-building event. We invite everyone to step away from their desks and into the kitchen to create their own culinary masterpieces, unlocking a unique and memorable way to celebrate the spirit of the festival.
On the morning of the event, the cafeteria kitchen was bustling with activity, shedding its usual quiet atmosphere and filling instead with laughter and cheer. Colleagues coordinated seamlessly, dividing tasks among themselves—washing, chopping, seasoning, and stir-frying—with every step executed in an orderly and meticulous fashion. Beyond preparing a spread of home-style dishes, many colleagues also took the initiative to handcraft Mid-Autumn mooncakes. Using natural ingredients like pumpkin, purple sweet potato, and yam for coloring, they kneaded the dough, wrapped the fillings, and pressed the molds by hand, carefully creating unique mooncakes that were as visually appealing as they were delicious, all while eagerly awaiting the moment they would emerge from the oven.
At the cooking stations, colleagues—who usually dedicate themselves to their professional roles—transformed into versatile chefs, each showcasing their unique culinary talents. Savory home-style chicken hot pot, authentic stir-fried pork with chili peppers, tender and flavorful braised fish and shrimp—an array of steaming, diverse dishes emerged one after another. With careful plating and labeled displays, the long tables were laden with a feast of appetizing delicacies; their vibrant colors and mouth-watering aromas were truly irresistible.
This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival perks are truly generous: every employee receives a box of honey mandarins and a box of Qiuyue pears, symbolizing good fortune and prosperity. Those participating in the cooking activities get an extra box of soft-seeded pomegranates. Lunch also features fresh fruits like mangosteens and winter jujubes, adding a fruity touch to this celebratory reunion feast.
With the delicious spread ready, the reunion meal begins. Everyone takes their seats to enjoy the special Mid-Autumn flavors prepared for the team. A wide array of dishes fills the table as colleagues chat about daily life and share culinary tips amidst an atmosphere of laughter and joy. Freshly made, handmade mooncakes—soft, chewy, and sweet—offer a delightful taste that perfectly captures the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival, creating a truly festive ambiance.
There were no elaborate delicacies, yet the gathering was filled with the heartwarming, down-to-earth comfort of a shared meal; there was no need for staged ceremony, only the genuine warmth of team camaraderie. At work, we are partners striving side-by-side; in life, we are like family, coming together to share in the joy of the moment..
Every dish held a touch of warmth, and the full moon brought us together in well-being. This cooking event offered a chance to unwind and find joy amidst a busy work schedule, while also strengthening our team spirit. As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, we wish every colleague a life of fulfillment and smooth sailing—Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, and may your families be filled with happiness!
